become a popular addition to many Internet advertising strategies for local

since its establishment. Groupon is
a deal-of-the-day website that provides discounted printable or digital
vouchers for purchase at local businesses. Groupon offers one

People can sign up to receive notice of these local Groupon coupons in their
city or community.
The site allows merchants in various markets
around the world to open an online store and post their daily deals via the
site.
Groupon has cut spending on US-targeted display and

spending $100 million a month on advertising. Now
that daily deal giants have entered the fight, what does it mean for local
online advertising? Obviously, as one can imagine, companies like Groupon can
change the local search game. Before they entered the domain, it was a gold
mine for local businesses trying to make the most of how customers were finding

DeleteGroupon has proven to be a cost-effective, unique way of purchasing nice items for a reasonable price. I recently read an article stating coupon websites such as Groupon, will not be around in 5 years. I cannot remember exactly what the article said, but it basically stated Groupon is a phase and will soon be trumped by the next great coupon website. I found this interesting considering most people I know love Groupon. I guess the consumer greed for the "best possible deal" will always win. Who knows, maybe Groupon will continue to find unique ways to offer great prices and creative advertisement.

ReplyDeleteGroupon is the best internet advertising strategy. I recently start using Groupon and it has so many great deals. It helps to introduce business very fast, fair price and the convenient will makes you to try new stuff. I recently got a voucher for Delta Queen Hotel at Chattamooga TN. It was an amazing experience, Thanks to Groupon.
ReplyDeleteI have been using groupon too and I have had pretty good deals, but sometimes you have to do some research about the deal in other coupon sites to check if the deals that they are offering are low or the same price.
DeleteGroupon is awesome! Just bought some tickets to see a movie in that epicenter movie theater, instead of paying $13 you pay $5. Although I am not a regular groupon user, i like to check it out once in a while. I remember though, after highschool when I worked at a photography studio, the owners did a groupon (get 3 sheets of pictures for 9.99) although it was a heck of a deal, at the studio we the photographers hated it! our job was not only to take pictures but to also sell you a lot of pictures because we were all in commission (which sucked). We edited like 50 pics and made collages, but at the end most people would always just get the groupon - no commission for us :( lol Well I guess that's why people like it, since is more of an advertisement strategy for a small business, they want people to know who they are and get them at the door, the business doesn't expect a huge profit of groupon, but more of exposure.
ReplyDeleteI think that it is a good marketing strategy, but I have never used it and I don't know anyone that has used it. My problem is that when I buy something like a groupon I forget to use it and I just waste my money. It would be interesting to find out how many people are like me. How many people who buy it and never us it.
ReplyDeleteGroupon is one of the greatest websites out there right now! This site is a win win for everyone including the consumer and producer. Customers get great deals every day in the things they are interested in or can try new things. The company that is providing the deal gets amazing exposure to gather new clients or bring back old ones. Everyone loves a great deal and is always looking for the next best thing. Groupon has definitely found a perfect niche for marketing that benefits not just the consumer but the company at the sametime.
ReplyDeleteGroupon is great! I have gotten some great deals from this site. They send me emails that alert me to new deals from time to time. Most of them aren't anything I want but some of them are something that I already want or something that I have wanted to try. I also think it is a great opportunity for small businesses to get their name out there. People who wouldn't normally go to these businesses will try them because they are getting a discount. If they have a good experience, they will tell their friends. Free advertisement. Everyone is a winner.
ReplyDeleteI think coupon sites like groupon and living social are great for small local businesses. It allows them to reach a very large audience for a fraction of the cost. This in turn allows them to attract new customers that would never have known about the company. I see these sites staying in business for a long time.
ReplyDeleteGroupon is very popular nowadays, so a small company looking to spread their name, may want to use groupon. Potential customers are present all throughout the groupon community, so your company would more than likely be viewed by at least one new person or more. Groupon can be a great way for a company to increase it's customer base and bring in buyers.
