As smartphone infiltration continues to climb, retail sales made from smartphone devices are expected to reach $27 billion by 2016, according to one study by Forrester Research, Inc. that excluded tablets. That would be 8% of forecasted e-commerce sales without even considering sales from tablet devices.

As mobile and tablet shopping continues to rise, so does the need to ensure your payment system to adapt to a mobile lifestyle. PayPal is making that happen for many retailers and shoppers with PayPal checkout. 2. I also agree that PayPal was a great discovery. It simplifies our online shopping experience and adds a large amount of security to our purchases. I always use PayPal when buying anything through online auctions or other online companies that accept PayPal. I have also found that some brick and mortar stores such as Home Depot use PayPal service in their stores.
I have also used PayPal to assist with the reimbursement of fraudulent sellers who never send items that they post for sale. This insurance as well as some relief from potential identity theft will keep me as a loyal customer.

  3. I never used PayPal but heard so many good things about it. I was just wondering how secure is? Is there any fee you have to pay for using the service or how is the company benefiting for the service they provide?

    1. I have used it for over 3 years and never had a problem. Sometimes I do get emails from scam artist trying to get my password, but that is not from PayPal. Paypal will never ask you for your password or anything unless you are on their site paying, accepting a payment, etc. There’s no fee to use PayPal to purchase goods or services.

  4. These days, it is hard to buy anything without the seller asking for a paypal account. I use mine for ebay and other online purchases. I bought some auto parts recently and the website offered paypal as an option for payment. I was pleasantly surprised. It saved me from breaking out my credit card and entering all the numbers. This made my shopping experience much easier. As for the security questions, I have had an account for at least four years and have never had any problems.

  5. I love my PayPal account. Not only is it convenient as more and more retailers (online) use it, it hides my personal and financial information from the seller by creating a pseudo account. I have been using the service for years with never a problem.

  6. I myself haven't used PayPal yet, but my wife has. After reading all the comments, it reassures me in trusting PayPal and its secure services. We have transferred money from the USA to Germany that way.

  7. I will too agree that PayPal is AWESOME! I use it for Ebay and any other online purchase that accepts PayPal. My question to everyone is this...when does PayPal grow large enough to be accepted everywhere? What if PayPal could be used to pay an auto loan, cable bill, cell phone bill, electric bill...etc.? How many of you would use it for everything?

Here is a scenario I thought of: Many times when I go to a restaurant I use a credit card instead of a debit card. I do not trust someone to leave my sight with a debit card. The information is to valuable and is direct access to existing funds. Credit cards are much more secure given fraud protection and the fact it is a line of credit, not actual funds. What if PayPal created a bar code card (something like what gym's give you). Instead of giving the server a debit/credit card, you give them your paypal card. The server then simply scans or types in the barcode number. The purchase then goes through the PayPal account. For security measures, PayPal creates an option located on your PayPal account profile to dispute charges. Every purchase can be seen just like a bank statement. If you see a charge that doesn't look familiar, you simply click the dispute button, fill out a complaint form, and a PayPal rep will call within 24 hours. I know there is a lot of detail here and I'm sure there are many flaws to my example. However, for example purposes I believe you get what I'm saying. How convenient would this be!?
